Unit 9a

Special Project: Peer Evaluation

Objective: Tutors will be able to recognize strengths and weaknesses in their tutoring style, set goals, and make improvements in areas which need improving.

Activities:

1. Arrange with Tutor Coordinator for a peer evaluation.

2. Set down with the peer evaluator and review the evaluation; discuss your strengths and weaknesses.

3. Set at least 3 goals for improving your tutoring skills and keep a journal for one month noting what you are doing to meet those goals.

4. Write a one-page paper summarizing what you have learned from this unit; submit the paper to the Tutor Coordinator.
