Choose the Right Degree

You can get THREE different types of degrees at UVU.

 AAS Degree (Associate in Applied Science) Minimum of 63 credit hours
  • This is a two year degree which prepares a student for EMPLOYMENT.
  • This degree IS transferrable, BUT requires additional general education credits.
  • This degree CAN prepare you for a Bachelor program.

Complete 16 General Education credits and Minimum 48 Major/Elective credits

 AS/AA (Associate in Science/Arts) Minimum of 60 credit hours
  • This is a two year degree which prepares a student for a Bachelor program.
Complete 35 General Education credits and Minimum 25 Major/Elective credits

3

 BS/BA (Bachelor of Science/Arts) Minimum of 120 Credit Hours
  • This is a four year degree which prepares a student for employment or graduate school.
Complete Associates Degree (minimum of 60 credit hours) and 60 additional Major/Emphasis credits
