Transfer Student

Application Information

For information on transferring your credit to UVU please visit the Transfer Office.

Welcome to the UVU admission application site. Listed below are some items you need to have available to complete the application process:

  • Social Security number - please be certain you enter it correctly, however it will not be used as your student identifier and you will not be asked to give your number at any other time..
  • Drivers License number
  • Current Mailing Address
  • High School Information - years attended, graduation date, etc.
  • College Information - dates of attendance from previous college(s)
  • Application fee of $35.00 - Must be paid with credit card at time of submission. This is a one-time only, nonrefundable fee.
  • ACT or SAT scores are required before you are eligible for registration. Learn more about ACT/SAT Test Scores.

Getting Admitted to UVU

Upon submission of the online application, you will receive an electronic response with general information and instructions on how to obtain your UVID and email account. Within 48 hours your application will be processed and you will receive your acceptance letter at your new UVU email address. Included in the acceptance email will be an information guide outlining the steps that must be completed before you are eligible for registration. If you choose to submit a paper application, you will receive your acceptance letter by mail within two weeks. The Admissions Office may be reached at 801-863-8466.

It is very important that you choose the correct application. Please read each description below and select the one that meets your status.

  • Transfer - You have never attended UVU but received college credit at another institution.

Complete the ONLINE APPLICATION . (not applicable to International and non U.S. born students, see below)

**Please note: The application fee must be paid with a credit/debit card before the online application is submitted. If you cannot make an online payment, you will need to download a paper application (pdf) and mail it to the Admissions Office (800 W University Parkway, Orem, UT 84058) or bring it to the One Stop advisors in the Administration Building, BA-106.

**Please note: If you were born outside the United States, you are not eligible to use the online application.

If you are a naturalized citizen or permanent resident, a paper application and citizenship proof or copy of Resident Alien Card must be submitted. Download the naturalized citizen or permanent resident paper application (pdf) that can be completed and mailed to our office.

If you are an International Student, a separate paper application packet must be submitted. please visit International Student admissions where you will find forms that can be mailed to the International Admissions office.
