Contact this session’s presenter, Karen Tebbs, at karent@uccu.com for a copy of the CD shown in the presentation: "Addiction. The Disease of the Mind."  The cd profiles three recovering addicts and the child of a Meth user.

Utah Community Credit Union and the Center for the Advancement of Leadership Mentoring have worked with six individuals to document, in powerful video, the extreme life costs of drug addiction. Each story began for these people in their youth as they began to use drugs with the mistaken belief they could control their involvement and stop their use at any time. Many also began their involvement with drugs they saw as harmless and/or recreational. These individuals' stories are shared in hopes that our youth will better understand the critical commitment to not ever starting down the road of substance abuse. The video is meant to supplement the Utah State Health Core and be shown in our schools to assist in our efforts to keep youth away from this terrible path in life.
