Keynote Address
by Kyle ReyesThis presentation will address the unique issues associated with dramatically changing demographics and their implications for education. This presentation aims to reframe the discussion of diversity as an asset and opportunity for our schools and most importantly as a paradigm from which we can help all students succeed.
Presenter's Bio:
Kyle Reyes has worked at Utah Valley University for seven years primarily in the development of programs and services for underserved students and communities (i.e. TRIO - Upward Bound, Educational Talent Search, GEAR UP, Multicultural Center). Along with a team of UVU personnel, Kyle helped create the UVU Latino Initiative designed to increase student achievement among the growing Latino community. Kyle earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Brigham Young University in Graphic Design and Education Leadership and Policy with a special focus on the creation of access and equitable campus environments for all students. He has a beautiful wife and is the proud father of three boys and a brand new baby girl.
