Learn the basic principles behind success in mathematics and how counselors can assist students in becoming successful in math. We may not be able to get them all to love math, but we can get them to love being successful in math.

Presenter's Bio:

Kathryn Van Wagoner has managed the UVU Math Lab for 10 years. Prior to that she taught math as an adjunct professor at UVU and at Independence High School. She has organized a number of programs at UVU designed to help students succeed in math, including Math Pass, Structured Learning Assistance, and Math Orientation. Kathryn has a BA in Math Education and a Masters of Public Administration. She likes to spend as much time as possible in the mountains.
