New Century and Regents' Scholarships: Looking Ahead

This session will highlights the two state-wide scholarships administered by the Utah State Board of Regents: the New Century and Regents' scholarships. Participants will learn about the purposes, requirements, deadlines and web resources for each scholarship as well as program changes as a result of recent legislation.
Presenter's Bio:
Melissa Miller Kincart has worked in recruitment, admissions, retention and student success for the past 14 years at 5 universities as well as the state level for the past 3 years. In July, 2009, she was appointed to a new role in the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education as the Assistant Commissioner for Outreach and Access. Melissa holds a Masters of Art from the University of Maryland, College Part, in Higher Education Leadership and Policy and a Bachelors of Science in Finance from University of Utah.
Carrie F. Beckman has worked in the Commissioner's Office for over 5 years in various roles. She currently manages the Regents Scholarship program. She earned a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Utah and a Bachelors of Science degree from Weber State University.
