Conference workshops will feature renowned Deaf community members sharing their knowledge
and talents with researchers, Deaf students, interpreters, educators, students of
ASL, parents of Deaf children, and other interested parties.Deaf Studies Today! is
now established as the primary site for the exchange of information and thinking for
anyone interested in Deaf Studies. The conference has also become an important cultural
"place" where Deaf people gather to create, renew and maintain relationships. Similarly,
the conference has gained a reputation for its expo; entertainment; Deaf art, including,
paint, poetry, storytelling, plays, and films. This year's conference will host the
ASL Literature Festival, De'Via Festival, and Deaf Films Festival.
