The Associate of Applied Science is a two-year degree offered in the AVC Department. Students must choose one of the following Emphases: Graphic Design, Photography, Studio Arts. For more information call the appropriate advisor listed below.

Art and Visual Communications Elective Requirements (12 Credits)

Graduation Requirements:

1 Completion of a minimum of 64 or more semester credits.
2 Overall grade point average of 2.0 (C) or above. To continue in the BFA program, GPA overall 2.7 and AVC 3.2.
3 Residency hours -- a minimum of 20 credit hours through course attendance at UVU, with at least 10 credit hours earned in the last 45 credits hours completed.
4 Completion of GE and specified departmental requirements.

Notes:
*ARTH 2710 is specifically required to fulfill the Fine Arts General Education requirement for a student seeking a Fine Art direction.
**Students seeking a Graphics/Commercial Art direction may take ARTH 2710 or ARTH 2720.
