The Air Safety Institute (ASI), a division of the nonprofit AOPA Foundation, is the largest non-government provider of aviation safety education worldwide. The ASI internship is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable aviation safety work experience.
In addition to hourly pay, a generous stipend to cover the costs of moving, housing, and/or flight proficiency is provided.
Duties will include:
Assisting in the development of new safety education materials, including online courses,
live safety seminars, and print publications
Assisting in the revision of existing safety education materials
Writing and editorial tasks related to safety education
Private pilot certificate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
GPA of 3.0 or higher (scale of 4.0)
Familiar with MS Office
Ability to research aviation topics online
Interest in aviation safety and the general aviation industry
Courteous and professional
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
