UVU’s Aviation Technology Department has recently created a new interactive activity, including realistic 3D graphics depicting some of the greatest inventions in aviation.
Introducing a new way of viewing and learning about Aviation history with a simulated museum activity. Here, you will be able to go through a timeline of some of the greatest and innovative accomplishments in aviation history. You will receive a brief overview of the aircraft and its maker; from 1783 with the Mongolfier balloon, to 1957 and the Soviet Union’s Sputnik satellite, to 2009 with the impressive Austrian Austro engine.
Each item in the museum is rendered as a sequence of images and grouped into segments using Flash. Thanks to our media department, when you choose an item to view from the timeline a file will load allowing you to rotate the item and see the inventions from different angles using your mouse, while you are being told additional information from a narrator.
Enjoy a different and interesting way to discover more about the Fathers of Aviation.
