January 7-11, 2013 – Washington, D.C.
In early January each year, approximately 45 students from UAA member institutions converge in Washington, DC, for the UAA Aviation Policy Seminar. The students and faculty facilitators spend the week visiting with industry associations, Congressional staff, and FAA managers to learn or gain a better understanding of how these leaders interact in establishing policies.
The seminar offers valuable insight into how the students and faculty can participate in the process now and in the future. Other highlights of the week are visits to the Air and Space Museum, the NTSB Flight Recorder and Materials labs, and other unique DC sites.
Hurry! To avoid late fees, register for the seminar by December 3, 2012. To learn more about registration, lodging, and the seminar agenda, visit UAA’s website.
Planning on taking AVSC 475: Aviation Policy next semester? Attending the policy seminar will earn you a 30% increase in your grade.
