Occasionally, students may need to make adjustments to their schedule after registering for courses. This is accomplished on the UVLink system. You need to be aware of the respective deadlines for adding/dropping courses or withdrawing from courses. These deadlines are found on the appropriate Student Timetable at http://www.uvu.edu/schedule/ .

For Fall and Spring Semesters, if a student officially withdraws from a semester class during the first three weeks of the semester, no grade entry will appear on the permanent record. For Summer term, and block classes, no grade entry will appear on the permanent record of students who officially withdraw from classes through the 100% tuition refund date.

For Fall and Spring Semesters, if a student officially withdraws after the third week, but prior to the last day to drop classes, the withdrawal will appear on the permanent record as a “W.” For Summer Terms and block classes, if a student officially withdraws after the 100% tuition refund date, but prior to the last day to drop classes, the withdrawal will appear on the permanent record as a “W.”

If you wish to completely withdraw from all of your courses for the semester, you must submit a Leave of Absence. Click the link below and follow the instructions. Note: You will be required to login to UVLink to complete the process.

Withdrawing After the Deadline
Students are typically not allowed to withdraw from a course after a certain date, which is listed on the appropriate Student Timetable at http://www.uvu.edu/schedule/ . A student may petition for an exception to this policy under the following circumstances: severe health of the student or their immediate family, death, or employment change. In each case, proper documentation must be provided such as a letter from a physician, death certificate, or letter from employer. Fill out the form below, sign it, then fax it to (801)863-7850 to obtain the appropriate signatures. Please keep in mind that this is a PETITION. It does not guarantee that your course(s) will be dropped.

Tuition refunds are generally not allowed beyond a certain date, which is listed on the appropriate Student Timetable at http://www.uvu.edu/schedule/  . In certain situations, a student may petition for an exception to the refund policy. In order to do so, the student must print out the form below, fill in the necessary fields, then fax it to the number provided at the bottom of the form.
