Admissions

Your first step towards earning your degree is to apply for admission. Applying for admission at Utah Valley University consists of 4 tasks, all of which must be completed in order to become an official UVU student.

  1. Fill out and submit an application form (New students, returning students, transfer students)

You may choose between an AAS degree (job ready associate’s degree) or a BS degree. The BS degree has two concentrations. If you are pursuing a BS degree, you must choose from one of the two concentrations. To compare degrees programs, please view the degree sheets posted under the “Degree” tab of this page.

Choice of Study It is crucial to select the correct “Choice of Study” to avoid complications with tuition charges. While filling out the “Planned Course of Study” section of the application form, you will need to select the appropriate “Choice of Study” option from the drop down menu. If you are a Utah resident or if you are a nonresident student planning on receiving flight training with the UVU flight school, please choose either the Aviation-AAS or Aviation-BS. If you are a nonresident student planning on receiving all of your academic credits through the online program, please choose either the Aviation Global-AAS or Aviation Global-BS.
