Local Students - Getting Started

Complete these 5 steps to apply and get registered.

*In addition to the 5 steps above, UVU flight students will need to complete the items below:

Schedule an FAA Class 2 Medical Exam

• Go to www.faa.gov/pilots/amelocator to find a medical examiner.

Bring Your Identification Documents for TSA Check and Set Up a Flight Account

• If you are a U.S. citizen bring either an unexpired passport or with birth certificate and a valid driver's license. If you are a foreign student bring your unexpired visa and passport, and obtain information on registering with the TSA. In order to set up your flight account you will need to deposit at least $500. Begin Your Flight Training

• Contact Scyler Gale at 801-863-7834 or galesc@uvu.edu to set up a flight schedule. That schedule will be a 2.5 hour training session 3 times per week, either Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.
