UVU – SkyWest Bridge Program
The Utah Valley School of Aviation Sciences is excited to announce a partnership agreement with SkyWest Airlines which offers a clear path and a tremendous advantage to students seeking a SkyWest first officer pilot position.
SkyWest developed their Pilot Cadet Program to help prepare the next generation of professionally trained pilots for a career at SkyWest Airlines. The program allows pilot cadets who meet the requirements the following benefits:
- Guaranteed pilot interview with SkyWest Airlines
- Interview preparation and mentoring guidance from SkyWest pilots
- SkyWest retained date-of-hire while in the program
- Opportunities to assist with the SkyWest projects such as job fairs and student mentoring
To qualify for the program, UVU flight instructors must maintain a minimum grade point average, complete advanced jet training courses and attain the FAA ratings of a Commercial Pilot/Instrument and Multi-Engine, and Certified Flight Instructor.
