We have recently had two advisors leave our department for other opportunities, and a third advisor is currently only in the office part-time due to a previously planned leave of absence. This leaves our office currently understaffed. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we hire and train new advisors.
The BESC advisors see students by appointment. You can schedule an appointment with the appropriate advisor by using the link under their name below. Students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Substance Use Disorder Counseling (SUDC) Certificate of Proficiency program will meet with the advisor whose queue includes their last name prior to receiving acceptance to those programs.
If you encounter difficulties in using the online calendar to schedule an appointment with your advisor please call 801 863 6377 and request assistance from our office staff.
Behavioral Science majors, students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Social Work program, and students seeking admission to the Substance Use Disorder Counseling program should check below to see which advisor they should meet with. We advise students based on their LAST name.

UVLINK EMAIL ADDRESS:The Behavioral Science Department academic advisors send out important information to student's UVLink E-Mail accounts weekly regarding multiple program and academic information, and job/volunteer/internship opportunities. Students are expected to check their UVLink e-mail account regularly. If a student is not currently receiving these emails and would like to please contact the appropriate academic advisor. Please be advised that students can set up their UVLink e-mail account to automatically forward the messages it receives to an account they regularly check by going to their e-mail account in UVLink and clicking on options and then auto forward, there students would enter in the e-mail address they want messages forwarded to. Please note that it may take up to 72 hours for messages received at your UVLink e-mail account to arrive at your designated forward account.
