The BESC advisors see students by appointment. Students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Substance Use Disorder Counseling (SUDC) Certificate of Proficiency program will meet with the advisor whose queue includes their last name prior to receiving acceptance to those programs. If you encounter difficulties in using the online calendar to schedule an appointment with your advisor please call 801-863-6377 and request assistance from our office staff, they are available Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; if there is no answer please leave a message so your call can be returned.

myUVU EMAIL ADDRESS: The Behavioral Science Department academic advisors send out important information to student's myUVU E-Mail accounts weekly regarding academic information and job/volunteer/internship opportunities. Students are expected to check their myUVU e-mail account regularly. If a student is not currently receiving these emails and would like to please contact the appropriate academic advisor. Please be advised that students can set up their myUVU e-mail account to automatically forward the messages it receives to an account they regularly check by going to their e-mail account in myUVU and clicking on options and then auto forward, there students would enter in the e-mail address they want messages forwarded to. Please note that it may take up to 72 hours for messages received at your myUVU e-mail account to arrive at your designated forward account.
