AUTOMOTIVE

This is an introductory program for interested high school students. AUTO 1000 and the corresponding lab cover vehicleand lab safety skill and introduce proper use of lab equipment. It presents terminology, basic and advances tools used inthe automotive field, and vehicle construction, with a hands-on approach. Students will learn about engine operation,drive train, steering and suspension, and body structure. Students will also learn basic mechanical skills and have anopportunity to perform these skills in the lab. This course is designed to teach the mind and engage the hands; it willprepare students for entry into Automotive / Diesel / Collision Repair / Street Rod programs.
