POLITICAL SCIENCE
The study of political science allows students to better understand US government, international politics, how government works, and how we can influence it for outcomes more consistent with our interests and beliefs.  The courses offered through political science give students grounding in the political process and help them understand why things happen the way they do with regards to public policy choices.  Political Science is the also the number one undergraduate major for those wishing to attend law school and the critical thinking skills attained by political science students make them very attractive business school candidates along with many other options.  Perhaps the best part of studying political science is that when the news comes on and everyone is wondering what is going on you can offer insights most have not thought about and as such help the civic dialogue of not only your community but also of society in general.
