| BASIC COMPOSITION | LIBRARY SCIENCE | |
|
This program consists of two courses – a basic composition class that focuses upon helping students build academic reading and writing skills (ENGH 0990), and a library research class (CLSS 1050) that focuses on giving students basic research skills using library databases and other resources. Students enrolling in this option will be together in both courses and form a learning community where they can help one another. To assist with this, ENGH 0990 and CLSS 1050 instructors are committed to individual attention and mentoring. Reference librarians are available in the library at all times for assistance as well. Additional advantages to the Summer Bridge program are that class sizes will be smaller than regular sections. Students will get acquainted with each other, and with caring faculty interested in each individual student’s success. |
