JOB DESCRIPTION: Culinary Arts Intern Thanksgiving Point
Reports to: Executive Chef
- Show up! Be on time and read to go to work
- Have your own knives
- Have your own non-slip shoes and work and over-pants( we will issue you a hat, shirt and apron for your time with us)
- Collaborate and work closely with other TPI staff
- Coordinate physical set up requirements and service needs
- Attend all necessary meetings
- Be able to follow a “Production List”
- Other duties as assigned Executive Chef, Sous Chef and Pastry Chef
Shift Hours and Days Required:
- To be determined based on internship requirements
- Ability to work weekends and major holidays, a plus
- Ability to work closely with chef and supervisors
- Demonstrated computer skills, primarily Microsoft Office
- Work well with a variety of people
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Problem solving and good communication skills
- Be able to cross train with other areas of the kitchen
- Be able to set-up work station and clean and close station at end of day

A Cook is responsible for performing daily tasks that align with the
department’s long term goals and objectives, uphold Montage Deer
Valley’s Mission, Vision and Values; support management and leadership,
provides excellent customer service and telephone etiquette, and
actively aspires to reach defined goals and objectives. The Cook is
accountable for performing all daily tasks associated with the Cook
kitchen duties, including but not limited to: maintaining a clean work
area; following all sanitation principles and procedures; working all
stations in the kitchen; prepping of station requirements to the
specifications of the Sous Chef; executing and delivering station menu
items to correct specifications and in a timely manner; maintaining and
logging all standardized recipes for station; assisting in the kitchen
where needed; assisting the Sous Chef in the training of other cooks and
following all hotel policies and procedures. Upon hire, this position
will be assigned an outlet based on business needs and experience level
in one of four kitchens: Apex, Daly's, Banquets, and Otto's. If you have
a preference in kitchen please make this clear during your first
interview. A Cook also performs additional duties as assigned that may
be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs.
A minimum of one year experience in a hotel or resort kitchen required,
with an emphasis in culinary arts. High school or equivalent education
The Overnight Cook is responsible for performing daily tasks that align

A minimum of one to two years experience in a hotel or high-end
restaurant kitchen required, with an emphasis in culinary arts. High
school or equivalent education required.
Falcons Ledge Lodge
Kitchen Manager and Cook Positions
There is an opening for a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager at Falcons Ledge Lodge in Altamont, UT. The job would entail preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner for guests at the lodge and managing other kitchen employees. The position would be full- time with a flexible schedule.
The work would be semi-seasonal with the summer (May-Nov.) being much busier than the winter.
The cook could stay at the Falcons Ledge Lodge the days they work at no cost. Compensation would start at $15-18/hr. + gratuities depending on experience and talent. An 18% gratuity is automatically collected by the company on all lunches and dinners and is passed directly onto the cook and any assistance they use. Falcons Ledge Lodge is a high-end lodge that caters to fisherman from around the world, and the meals at Falcons Ledge are expected to be of the highest quality. The new cook would need to train under the current Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to ensure that the preparation, presentation, and quality of the food is up to Falcons Ledge standards.

Part Time Cook II
The line cook will be responsible to support and assist the culinary staff manager in meeting the company's food service’s needs. The individual in this position will prepare and present meals as ordered by the customer while adhering to standardized recipes and presentations as created by the executive chef.

Part Time Prep Cook/Dishwasher
The steward/dishwasher will provide general support to the company's food service’s needs. The responsibilities includes washing and storing dishes, cookware and service items, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, assisting with maintenance of other areas, receiving and storing groceries correctly, and provide general support for the company's food services needs as directed by the Culinary Staff Manager.

Part Time Hostess/Cashier
The hostess/cashier is the first personal contact customers will have with the cafe. The hostess/cashier will either a) take each customer's order at the traditional cash register or b) guide the customer through the self-order process as needed. This position will accept all forms of payment and be expected to reconcile the receipts at the end of each shift. Under the direction of the Dining Services Manager, the hostess/cashier will greet and welcome guests, oversee the point of sales system, provide general support of the cafe food services including cleaning, maintaining drink machines, keeping eat utensils and condiments stock and providing general oversight of the eating area. The hostess/cashier may be called upon to help with nominal food prep, particularly assembly.

Must have previous banquet serving experience.
Kitchen Prep Cooks: This will be helping in the kitchen, preparing food, and getting it ready for serving. Previous Kitchen Prep experience preferred. Pay is $9.00 per hour. Need to have a food handler’s permit. Must have no skid black dress shoes, black dress pants and button up white long sleeved shirt. The jobs are part time evening and will start in September and run through the holiday season.
