POSITION DESCRIPTION:  

Food Services Chef

Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, the Food Services Chef prepares a variety of food service items for hospital patients and staff by following established procedures. This is an opportunity to use all of the skills you developed in your culinary arts education.

  • Bakes, roasts, stews, fries, steam-cooks, or otherwise prepares food products for consumption.
  • Follows standardized recipes in accordance to established policy.
  • Utilizes knowledge of cooking methods and preparation time requirements to ensure that food is prepared in a timely fashion.
  • Receives deliveries and compares shipped quantities with shipping manifests.
  • Maintains strict standards of cleanliness within the dietary department at all times.
  • Cleans equipment and utensils used in process of production.

New Haven Cook/Chef

New Haven Residential Treatment Center is currently looking for a cook/chef at their Spanish Fork Campus.
This is a very unique position of running the kitchen for one of our homes, as well as interacting with students and staff.  
This person does all the planning and purchasing of food for the home. She shops for food as well as ordering food from a food service.
The cook/chef manages the food budget for the home. She must be able to adapt to special dietary needs of the students i.e. lactose intolerant, kosher, etc. 
Responsibilities include preparing lunch and dinner Monday through Friday for approximately 25 students, teachers and staff, using menus prepared by the Dietitian.
Ensure all breakfast food is organized and ready for staff to serve the girls each morning. Also, ensures that food for weekends is in the
pantry along with recipes so staff can prepare meals. This person will have the additional responsibility to prepare meals for up to 75 people on
Parent Weekends (every 8 weeks), Graduation and other special occasions. Cook/chef oversees the overall cleanliness, orderliness
and safety of the kitchen. She must have knowledge of nutrition, health codes and proper sanitation.
Must have skills in food preparation and be able to plan and prioritize work.
Working hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Kneaders Bakery Job Openings

Kneaders Bakery and Cafe in the Riverwoods Shopping Center has two openings we are looking to fill immediately: 

Bakery Assistant - Either 1 full time position (40+ hours) or two part time positions (20+ hours each).
Hours range between 11:00 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday - Friday, some Sundays required.
Major duties include mixing dough, forming, and baking, as well as cleaning duties.

Pastry Assistant - 1 part-time position (30+ hours). Hours range between 5:00 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday - Saturday.
Duties include mixing batters fillings, and icings; constructing and finishing pastry items;
includes as well as mixing and baking sweet breads.
