Thank you for taking the time to meet with my daughter, Megan, and me. I appreciated the patience shown in helping her navigate the network of campus systems and in getting established at UVU. I was impressed with the helpfulness of our CACC counselor. |

I 'm from a small community in Arkansas and the first in my family, and community to pursue a college degree. My high school had no computers, so I was completely untrained on using computers. My CACC counselor took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns, and also helped me register for classes via UVLink. In addition, my counselor showed me how to use the computer to check on my financial aid, e-mail, blackboard, etc. I left feeling confident that I could now use a computer on my own. |

As a second-semester junior, I was no longer interested in my current four year major. And, I did not want to start my junior year over again. I really needed to know if there was a program allowing me to transfer my credits into a new major. My CACC counselor told me about the other majors available at UVU and which majors would incorporate my current classes. In the end, I was able to decide on a new four-year major and use my existing credits towards a minor. I was greatly relieved and excited about my future plans. |

I was late for registration which made my meeting with my advisor difficult, but I really appreciated the time my advisor spent with me. I was able to meet with another advisor and a residency specialist who were also extremely helpful too. Once my official transcripts come in, I will need to meet with my advisor again to create my Fall class schedule. The whole going back to school thing has been a hard and a scary decision. I REALLY appreciated my CACC counselor. |

I was finishing up my Pre-major A.S. in Criminal Justice and I was really concerned about my selection of a B.S. degree. I want to go to law school and had already talked the Pre-Law advisor. My concern was should I complete my B.S. in Criminal Justice (the fastest way to graduate) or should I start a completely new major such as Political Science, Accounting, Finance, or Languages which I also had an interest in.

I had an issue with a Nutrition 2020 class, I was able to register for the class without the pre-requisite, but the instructor was not going to allow me to continue with the class, due to not having the pre-requisite. My CACC counselor called the Health department to see how this could have occured and was informed it was a glitch in the online registration program. He encouraged me to see a my major advisor for a review of current health classes and for a possible override for the Nutrition 2020 class. It was the perfect answer. My major advisor sent a note to the instructor informing her to allow me to remain in class, along with an override for the pre-requisite. So, I am all set for the class and am way excited! Thank you, for all your help! |

I’ve been a student at UVU for quite some time and have had a pretty rough time deciding what I should do with my life. Talking with my CACC counselor has helped me so much and I am so thankful for his advice. He has been more than helpful and I’ve always felt welcome. I’ve loved having someone I could trust to talk to, whom I felt was not judging, and was so understanding and kind. He has helped make my experience at UVU be a good one. Thanks for being there for student who needs help and for being so awesome. Thanks again. |
