Firefighter Rookie Challenge
We have our Firefighter Rookie Challenge coming up on March 23rd. Spend four hours
in the boots of a firefighter academy candidate! You will do ropes, ladders, hoses,
nozzles, search and rescue and more. Come for fun or to help prepare yourself for
the academy! This program comes highly recommended from our Academy Director, Chief
Byrnes.

Do you need help with your Resumes or Cover Letters, Information on Interviewing,
Job Searching Strategies or Application Assistance? Mr. Jordan Doman from UVU Career
Development Center will be available EVERY WEDNESDAY from 12:00-1:00 (beginning February
6th) at the desk on the 6th floor of the CS building - across from Advising Center.
You don't need an appointment - just stop by!
Provo Police Victim Services
Training for Volunteers/Interns Interested in Assisting Victims of Crime
Some of the Volunteer Opportunities Include:
- Providing direct services to victims of crime
- Guiding victims through the court process
- Coordinating with community agencies to advocate for victims
- Provide Office Support
*This is a 40 hour training partnering with the Center for Women and Children/Rape
Crisis program. It will be held on the following dates:
Mon. Feb. 4th: 6:00 pm-9:00 pm
Wed. Feb. 6th: 6:00pm-10:00 pm
Thurs. Feb. 7th: 5:00 pm-9:00 pm
Sat. Feb. 9th: 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Mon. Feb. 11th: 6:00 pm-10:00 pm
Tues. Feb. 12th: 6:00 pm-10:00 pm
Wed. Feb. 13th: 5:00 pm-10:00 pm
Sat. Feb. 16th: 8:00 am–5:00 pm
*Training times subject to change
A background check and screening interview will need to take place before the training
begins. A 6 month commitment is required to provide direct services to victims.
