Career Readiness Track

In this track you will dedicate time to develop the types of advanced skills and experiences potential employers in your desired career area are searching for. Then you’ll utilize the career networks you have developed to make valuable connections to market yourself and encourage future career opportunities. Launch your future career with an advanced skill set that sets you apart from other applicants and college graduates!

Outcomes

  • Awareness - awareness of the type of advanced skills potential employers are interested in your specific career of choice
  • Knowledge - knowledge of how to market your advanced skills to potential employers
  • Application - development of advanced skills; establishment of personal connections with potential employers to demonstrate an advanced skill set and encourage future career opportunities

Mentoring Focus

In the Career Readiness Track you will have the opportunity to be mentored by an "Alumni/Professional Mentor."  An Alumni/Professional Mentor is an experienced professional who has expansive work experience, networking connections, and employment advice in your career area of interest.
