I was able to obtain employment, thanks to all your help and support.  Those classes are great, and I think more people should take advantage of them.  I was offered the job and I am so excited about it.  I just wanted to let you guys know and tell everyone in the class thanks for the help. That class is great! Of all the resources that I attended or read while looking for employment, the alumni group was the best. Sincerely,

Good news. I interviewed for a position this last week and was offered the job. I start Monday morning and so I won't be able to come to the group any longer. Last week in our group meeting you asked us to define a job goal.

I did that assignment that afternoon and thought you might like to hear about how it went… I feel that my clear goal of the kind of company I wanted to work for and being a well qualified candidate is what got me the job.

So I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for opening my eyes to what I actually was looking for in the job market and helping me put that into words that I could express in the interviewing process.

Thanks again for your help and tell the others good luck in their job searches!

Thanks for the opportunities given to meet weekly to discuss better methods for succeeding with a career goal!

The workshops, fairs, and networking meetings present a source to receive support and guidance that could not be done alone...Once I began to apply the suggestions, such as taking responsibility for my network and taking initiative through informational interviewing, that's when my perspective changed with a clearer vision of how I can fulfill my professional work.

Any student searching out how to understand themselves, or how to develop plans for creating their career benefit with the resources supplied through UVU's Career Development Center. I would even consider it the gap that students need to fill in order to find links between their educational background transitioning into their professional futures.

I have a phone interview scheduled for tomorrow morning. I found the opening on the UV Job Board. Thank you for the info about phone interviews; that will be helpful since I've only done phone interviews a couple of times.

Just wanted to let you know that I was offered the position that we spoke about. Thank you for your time and your help. The classes that you offer each Monday are a very valuable resource. It was the recognition of my value and strengths that allowed me to have the confidence I needed to say, heck yes I can do that job!

Just wanted to let you know that I think this was a great news letter. The stuff I have seen in cover letters, etc. has been absolutely appalling. I am glad you took the time to address that issue.

With my recent unemployment, I find the job market in the current economic conditions to be quite difficult. Current job searching tactics have changed from when I last had to search for work.

The staff at the Career Development Center and the alumni training group have been a great asset during this phase of my life. Their assistance with current techniques in job searching, reviewing documents, discussion sessions and moral support has helped immensely during this difficult time.

I'm glad I found the Career Development Center division at UVU. They are a great resource for the UVU community. They took the time to listen to me and understand my situation. The counselors helped me identify my strengths and taught me how to present myself to prospective employers. Now I have a new job and a clear direction for my future.
