Get Involved
The Center for Engaged Learning facilitates the collaborative efforts of students, faculty, and staff in partnership with the community to provide opportunities for engagement, learning, teaching, and scholarship that address community and business needs; encourage civic-entrepreneurialism; promote student-centered engaged learning, including but not limited to, service learning endeavors; provide opportunities for student internships and graduate employability, and enhance the reputation of the institution.

Students: The Center for Engaged Learning was created for the benefit of students. We exist to help students succeed. We encourage students to find ways to get involved and get the most out of their educational experience here at UVU. Students, be aware that you may participate in engaged learning projects, we encourage it. If you have an idea for an engaged learning grant there are a few steps you must follow.

Faculty and Staff: As the UVU mission statement states, “Utah Valley University is a teaching institution which provides opportunity, promotes student success, and meets regional educational needs,” the Center for Engaged Learning seeks to be a catalyst in promoting engaged learning opportunities. We encourage all faculty and staff to collaborate with colleagues and students to create meaningful engaged learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Business, Community, and Non-Profit: The Center for Engaged Learning seeks to be a clearinghouse for community engagement. Dedicated to curricular and community engagement, we seek to bring meaningful and impactful engaged learning experiences to the region. We want to partner with business and community organizations to bring impactful learning opportunities to our students and make a positive lasting impact on the community. If you are trying to partner with the Center for Engaged Learning there are some important steps that you must follow.
