The Center for Global & Intercultural Engagement provides leadership and support for international and multicultural studies and student services along with related cocurricular and extracurricular programming.

The Center is a resource for students, faculty, staff, and the community. It promotes the university’s commitment to inclusion by providing high-quality academic and experiential opportunities, both abroad and at home, for those from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

  • Advances UVU's presence and prestige in the international community
  • Helps UVU students become globally competent graduates
  • Creates opportunities for engaged learning and regional economic development through cultural exchanges and diplomatic visits

International & Multicultural Studies

  • Administers international study programs, study abroad, international internships, service learning, exchanges, international photo contest, and travel resources
  • Advances intercultural engagement through student workshops, global spotlight events, and internationalization activities

International Student Services

  • Recruits, retains, supports, and graduates international students. ISS staff advise the International Student Council, manage international student financial aid, and organize internationally themed activites
  • Provides visa information, employment consultation, and academic advisement for UVU’s international students

Multicultural Student Services

  • Helps create and sustain an inclusive community that appreciates and advances multicultural engagement and diversity initiatives at UVU
  • Recruits, retains, supports, and graduates ethnic and underrepresented student minority populations
