We screen and discuss a selection of films from internationally acclaimed Chinese directors. Students pick a film director or actor and enact him/her throughout the semester in class. They present his/her philosophy, style, works and view, and put him/her into the context of Chinese film history. Moreover, they interact with other “film directors” and exchange views. Includes film screening of both, famous and underground Chinese films, as well as new releases.
