Conference History
The UVU Colleges of Humanities and Social Sciences and University College are pleased to present the first annual UVU Symposium on ADD/ADHD. This single day event is tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 28
th
in the Sorensen Student Center on UVU campus. Participant check-in and same day registration will begin at 8am, with the opening keynote beginning at 9am. All sessions will conclude at 4pm.
While still in the planning stages, the symposium program is expected to feature a keynote presentation and various concurrent presentations intended to help participants investigate various aspects of ADD/ADHD. Presentations will provide information on treatment alternatives, behavior modification and analysis, services, transition, education and family life. Material will be offered in a ‘user-friendly’ format appropriate for families, students, service providers, educators and professionals alike. Anyone with an interest or need for information on ADD/ADHD will find a session to provide them with insight and useable, practical education that can be immediately applied.
Concurrent session speakers will present information on topics such as:
- DSM and diagnosis
- Family relationships and ADD/ADHD
- Transitioning from High School to College
- Adult ADD/ADHD
- Exercise and the ADD/ADHD connection
- Living with ADD/ADHD and thriving
- Finding student success with ADD/ADHD
- Time management and organizational skills
- Social challenges and solutions

Information will be posted as quickly as it becomes available. Pre-registration is available now at this website. The early-registration cost is $29 for the full-day conference (including lunch and parking shuttle service). You can register at this rate until September 17th at 9am. The regular registration fee will be $35 after that time.
A sit-down luncheon will be provided.
