About Cinema Studies
The Cinema Studies minor focuses on films as cultural texts and is designed to provide students with an understanding of the social, political, historical, and industrial contexts that produce them. As an interdisciplinary minor, the program draws on faculty expertise from various disciplines and includes global and historical perspectives.The Cinema Studies minor will foster interdisciplinary study within the college community and provide a program for those students who are interested in career paths that require a sophisticated understanding of media culture, such as:
