A study of the origin and doctrines found in the Book of Revelation.

REL 327 Pearl of Great Price (2 credits)
History and doctrines of all the contents of the Pearl of Great Price.

Institute Choir; non audition.
REL 030 Missionary Preparation (1 credit)
Helps prepare students for missionary service, utilizing principles that reflect and supplement "Preach My Gospel". This course is highly recommended for all pre-missionaries.
REL 031R Devotional or Lecture Series (1 credit)
Devotionals provide motivation and inspiration to live the gospel. Devotionals are held in the North chapel every Friday at noon. All are invited, whether registered or not.

REL 033 Teaching of the Living Prophets (1 credit)
This course covers the calling and function of the living prophets, with emphasis on principles taught in recent sessions of conference.
REL 035 Building an Eternal Marriage (1 credit)
Study of the doctrines, principles and practices which will establish a successful, gospel-centered eternal marriage.
REL 050 The Gospel & the Productive Life (1 credit)
To assist students in applying gospel principles in their personal lives. It is composed of classroom instruction in doctrinal, temporal and practical matters.
REL 082R Principles of Leadership (1 credit)
Typically for class leaders and committee members who give significant amounts of time and leadership to the Institute.
REL 090R Latter-day Celebration Choir (1 credit)
Latter-day Celebration Choir; by audition only.
REL 115 Scripture Study Fundamentals - The Power of the Word (2 credits)
Helps students gain confidence in studying and understanding the scriptures. The focus is on gaining skills for successful personal scripture study.
REL 130 Missionary Preparation (2 credits)
Helps prepare students for missionary service, utilizing principles that reflect and supplement the emphasis taught in the "Preach My Gospel" missionary approach. This course is highly recommended for all pre-missionaries.
REL 150 The Gospel and Productive Life (2 credits)

REL 234 Dating and Courtship (2 credits)
Allows the student to examine the many different issues that lead to one's being successfully sealed in the Temple of the Lord.
REL 235 Building an Eternal Family (0.5 credit)
Young Married Seminar, includes a dinner and presentation. Meets once a month.
REL 261 Introduction to LDS Family History (2 credits)
Introduction to the Family History program of the Church, which emphasizes identifying ancestors in the first few generations for whom temple ordinances have not been completed and the use of resources to simplify temple and family history activities.
REL 333 Teachings of the Living Prophets (2 credits)
This course covers the calling and function of the living prophets, with emphasis on principles taught in recent sessions of general conference.
REL 341 Latter-day Saint History from 1805-1844 (2 credits)
A study of the history and doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints up to and including the martyrdom of the Prophet Joseph Smith.
REL 342 Church History (2 credits)
A study of the history and development of the Church from 1845 to 1900.
REL 343 Church History (2 credits)
A study of the history and development of the Church from 1901 to the present.
REL 345 Presidents of the Church (2 credits)
Study of the life and teaching of all the Presidents of the Church, from Joseph Smith through Thomas S. Monson.
REL 370 Introduction to Teaching Seminary (2 credits)
An introduction to religious education as a profession. It focuses on basic teaching concepts and the hiring process. Students taking this course should be in their sophmore year or later.
REL 392R The Parables of Jesus (2 credits)
The teachings of the Savior, with emphasis on the parables he taught throughout His ministry.
REL 393R The Gospel and World Religions (2 credits)
A study of religions of the world such as Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism and Judaism. Designed to introduce members of the Church to the beliefs of other world faiths and their development, with an emphasis on their relationship to the doctrines of the restored Church of Jesus Christ.
REL 393R Teachings of Thomas S. Monson (2 credits)
This course covers the life and teaching of President Thomas S. Monson.
REL 393R Repentance and Forgiveness (2 credits)
Covers doctrines and principles related to repentance and forgiveness, and how to apply them into one's personal life.
REL 430 Doctrines of the Gospel (2 credits)
A study of the basic doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as taught in the scriptures and by latter-day prophets. Part 1.
