Perkins Loan Scheduled ACH Payment
Log into UVLink. If you need assistance accessing this site, please contact the UVU IT Help Desk at 801.863.8152.
After you have successfully logged on to UVLink:
1. Select the Student Tab.
2. Click on "Financing & Paying for your Education" link located on the left side of the page.
3. Click on "Tuition Payment Plus" link.
You will be directed to the Tuition Payment Plus System. Please note that the "Quick View Screen" will show current term balance for tuition and will not show the Perkins Loan balance but you can use this system to pay for your Perkins Loan.
If you choose to make a payment using this system please call 801.863.8611 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to notify the UVU Collections Office that you have made a payment and it needs to be applied towards your Perkins Loan.
4. Select the Payments tab located at the top of the page or "Make a Payment" link located on the right of the page.
5. Click the "Pay" link located on the right of the page.
6. Select a Payment Method from the drop down menu and click "Go".
Please note that there is no sevice fee for paying by electronic check; however, if you choose to pay by credit card (MasterCard, American Express, or Discover), a non-refundable service fee of 2.75% (minimum of $3) will be added to your payment.
7. Payment Method.
a. Select your account type, i.e. checking or savings.
b. Enter your bank account information.
c. Check the box located next to "Save this payment method for future use" and fill in the name you would like to save this payment method as in the box located next to "Save Payment Method As".
d. Click Continue.
Please note that if your bank information changes, it is your responsibility to make updates to your saved payment method prior to the scheduled payment date.
e. Read the payment agreement at the top of this page before you check the box next to "I Agree". If you input the wrong account number and the bank returns the electronic check you will be charged a $20 return service fee.
8. Payment Options.
Please note that there should be a box at the top of this screen that verifies your new ACH Payment method has been saved.
a. This gives a summary of the payment method you entered on the previous page.
b. Under the "Payment Options" column, the system will default to UVU's current term and does not need to be charged for this payment.
c. Enter the amount of your payment.
Check this amount closely! If you pay more than the minimum monthly payment required you will reduce the overall repayment of your loan and save money on interest!
d. Select the date you want the payment to come out of your account and click "Continue".
Remember your Perkins Loan is due on the 1st of every month.
9. Payment Confirmation.
a. This gives a summary of the payment options you entered on the last step.
b. Verify your information. If you want to change the terms that you entered in the payment options, click "Change these values" and it will return you to the previous page.
c. Click "Schedule Payment" to submit your payment.
10. Continue this process until you have scheduled all future payment that you want to make.
