  • The Department of Communication, in partnership with the Office of International and Multicultural Studies, sponsors a semester-long study abroad program at Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. All courses are taught in English, and you will have the opportunity to experience Germany's rich cultural heritage.

  • UVU students are required to take the following classes, which are taught in English, totaling 28 credit hours

    •Debating Club - 3 credit hours

    •Int’l Market Comm and Awareness Workshop - 3 credit hours

    •Social Competence - 2 credit hours

    •Marketing Advanced - 3 credit hours

    •Project II - 7 credit hours

    •Project Week - 2 credit hours

    •Cross Cultural Comm - 3 credit hours

    •German as a foreign language (beginning or advanced) - 5 credit hours

    •TBD: GER 1010 Beginning German - TBD credit hours

  • UVU students will get credit for the following UVU courses depending upon the elective courses taken in Germany:

    •Comm 3120 Social Media Fundamentals - 3 credit hours

    •Comm 350R Environmental Communications - 3 credit hours

    •TBD: DGM 1100 Digital Media Essentials - 3 credit hours
