Courtney Burns worked at Utah Valley University for a number of years before joining the Communication Department in 2013. She loves working in higher education and has been especially impressed with quality of programs and activities at UVU.
Courtney graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Integrated Studies with emphases in Religious Studies and Social Sciences from UVU. She then received a master of arts degree in Comparative Ethnic Conflict from Queen’s University, Belfast. In both cases, her research encompassed the influence of politics and religion in cases of conflict and conflict resolution.
She also has interests in reading, traveling, storytelling, and British chocolate.
