Craig Klein joined Utah Valley University in the Fall of 2012, accepting the newly
created position of Assistant Vice President for Community College Programs. Prior
to coming to UVU, he served as Dean of Academic Affairs at two community colleges
in Missouri. Before that, he was a tenured full professor of Journalism and Mass Communication
at Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA. He earned his BS in Journalism from the
University of Kansas, his MA in Telecommunication from Indiana University, and his
doctorate in Educational Leadership-Higher Education Administration from the University
Susan currently serves as the Director of Career and Technical Education at Utah Valley
University where she leads the university’s Career and College Pathways Business Strategy-Tasked
by President Holland to identify and close gaps for a seamless student transition
between public and higher education into business and industry. Susan has received
multiple awards of excellence, including the respected Women Tech Council Innovation
Award for Educational Excellence, but was most deeply touched and honored by a leadership
council of Native Americans with the Robe of the White Raven for her dedicated efforts
and support to their communities. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at Northeastern
University, Boston with the research focus of underrepresented populations in the
areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Ruth currently serves as the Interim Director for the Office of Extended Studies at
Utah Valley University. She has worked in Extended Studies for 10 years as an Off-Campus
Coordinator, Manager, and Associate Director. Prior to UVU, she was the Business Manager
of the Tooele Campus of Utah State University and taught Business Information System
courses as an adjunct instructor. She earned her BS in Animal Science from Utah State
University, has completed coursework in a master's program in Agricultural Education
and Extension at USU, and plans to work towards a doctorate in Adult and Postsecondary
Education at the University of Wyoming.
Ted currently serves as the Director of Concurrent Enrollment at Utah Valley University.
This High School partnership program allows qualified students the opportunity to
earn college credit. Ted is a national leader in concurrent enrollment having served
as Vice President, President, and Past President of the National Alliance of Concurrent
Enrollment Partnerships. He has received multiple awards of excellence, including
the prestigious UVU Vice President of Academic Affairs Award of Excellence and the
Larry Horyna Award for Exceptional Service to UAACCE. He earned his Ed.D. from Montana
State University in Adult and Community Education.
