E. Support Personnel.
- What support personnel are available to install, maintain, and manage departmental hardware, software, and networks?
There are 3 full time and 3 part time personnel that service the department servers and laboratory facilities. - Is this level of support adequate? No If not, describe the limitations. The limitations that we currently have are due to coverage. We are trying to hire a full-time person to be available to take help desk issues, desktop support, day -to-day issues.
- Are any faculty members expected to provide significant hardware, network, or software support? If so, describe this expectation including how such expectations are addressed in evaluation, tenure, promotion, and merit pay decisions, and indicate what, if any, released time is awarded for this effort.
Faculty members are not expected to provide hardware, network, or software support.
