F. Support for Advising.Advising duties must be a recognized part of faculty members workloads, which means that faculty with large numbers of advisees must be granted released time. Explain your advising system and how the time for these duties is credited.

Advisement in the department is handled by a full time advisor who is well acquainted with the general education requirements as well as the specific requirements for the BS degree specializations or options that are available in the Computer Science department. Faculty members are available as needed to help a student understand specific questions about the computer science discipline. There is a student computer-based information system on campus called Access that is available from any of the computer laboratories on campus or from a number of kiosks on campus where a student can check his/her declared degree requirements and his/her individual progress toward the declared degree at any time.
