As an incoming student at UVU there are several things you must complete before becoming eligible to register for classes. These requirements help you have a better understanding of the classes you will be taking in your General Education area as well as in your major. Once these items are completed and you meet with your Academic Advisor, the AC hold can be removed and you can register for classes.
First, you will need to log into UV Link (click on the UV Link icon in the top left corner of this page). Click on the “Student” tab and then on “Getting Started”. Next, click on the first item in the next column, “WebStart”. After completing WebStart, watch the Wolverine Track tutorials. Please pay special attention to the tutorials on how to use Wolverine Track and the Planner. Then, follow the instructions below to help you understand your courses, prerequisites and the order you should be taking classes. You will also be instructed on how to set up your Planner in Wolverine Track. Please follow these directions and set up at least 2 semesters in your Planner. Write down any questions you have and either email your advisor to set up an appointment, or if it is logistically impossible to meet, explain your situation to your advisor in the email. Once these items are complete your advisor will remove your hold.
*** If you are a student planning on going into a health profession (i.e. Medical, Dental, Physical Therapy, Physician’s Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Radiology…) you need to meet with your Pre-Health Advisor ASAP for help with prerequisite planning. Please visit www.uvu.edu/prehealth and view the Orientation and then schedule an appointment.
