Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act as authorized in 2006
Purpose:
The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act was last authorized on August 12, 2006, as Public Law 109-270, to increase the quality of technical education for individuals seeking to succeed in a knowledge- and skills-based economy. The purpose of this Act is to develop more fully the academic and career and technical skills of secondary education students and postsecondary education students who elect to enroll in career and technical education programs.
