Apprenticeship

<< BACK TO ALL PROGRAMS

Utah Valley University, through the School of Technology and Computing, provides apprentices related theoretical instruction in structured classes.  Apprenticeship programs are composed of two parts:

1. Classroom instruction. 2. On-the-job training is provided by a sponsor who exposes the apprentice to practical applications in all phases of a particular craft. The classroom related instruction is an organized and systematic form of instruction designed to provide the apprentice with knowledge of the theoretical and technical aspects of their craft. Total completion of an apprenticeship program will take from two to five years, depending upon the craft.
