Biography - Research Assistant
Matthew Bryson began his education at UVU as a Presidential Leadership Scholarship recipient. He is currently working toward a bachelor's degree and aspires to earn a law degree from BYU. Matt has taken an active role at UVU by participating in various student organizations and functions. Starting as a department representative for UVUSA, Matt has gone on to become the president of the Ultimate Frisbee Club, an orientation leader, and a member of the Leadership Council for the Center for the Advancement of Leadership.
Matt's previous work experience includes managing his high school bookstore, serving as youth mayor of Centerville City, and managing an election campaign for Centerville Councilman Justin Y. Allen. His accomplishments include taking first in state in DECA; being named Centerville City Citizen of the Year, being an Eagle Scout, and just recently accomplishing certification in leadership with high distinction from UVU as well as certification in constitutional studies by the Thomas Jefferson Center.
Besides school, Matt enjoys spending time with family and friends, skiing, hiking, white-water rafting, reading, photography, and visiting Grand Teton National Park. He hopes to one day take an active role in local government and fly a plane.
