Biography - Accountant Sr. Manager
Sandy Capell has served as the Utah Valley University Foundation’s accountant since 2003. Prior to this assignment, she spent five years as the business manager and financial officer for the Utah Manufacturing Extension Partnership. She also served as senior accountant of grants and contracts for UVU Finance and Business Services.
Sandy is a proud UVU alumnus and has earned degrees in accounting and business administration as well as an M.B.A. from the University of Utah. She has also owned and managed her own business and has written humorous articles as a freelance columnist.
Sandy is a certified government grant and contract accountant (GGFM) and has completed federal certification for grant and contract administration. She holds membership in the Association of Government Accountants. She and her husband, Dan, have two sons and four grandchildren. Along with a passion for gardening and spending time with family, she has contributed many hours of service to area rest homes.
