Biography - Administrative Support: UVU Foundation

Joanna Cox has over 20 years of experience as an administrative assistant. Her experience includes nine years at the University of San Diego Bookstore, where she supervised the office staff and cashiers, including managing the office; managing graduation items such as cap and gown, announcements, and class rings; and ordering all office supplies, sundries, and gift items for the bookstore. Joanna also spent ten years at Farmers Insurance Claims Office, where she paid medical bills for individuals injured in car accidents.

Her career at Utah Valley University began in 1999 when she was hired as a part-time receptionist for the Advancement Office. In 2001 Joanna was promoted to administrative assistant to the vice president. She has served three vice presidents in the Development Office. In addition Joanna is the UVU Foundation secretary. Joanna works closely with all members of the UVU Foundation board and committees.
