Biography - Coordinator of Development
After working as a special projects intern in summer 2011, Eric joined the staff full time as development coordinator, working with all divisions of development. He recently completed an M.A. in philanthropic studies at the Center on Philanthropy, with a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, all based at Indiana University Purdue University—Indianapolis (IUPUI).
While in Indiana, Eric worked as a graduate assistant for the WellPoint Foundation, the charitable arm of WellPoint Inc., one of the largest healthcare insurers in the United States. Other experience includes an internship with the Autism Society of Indiana, where he conducted a needs assessment and developed a roadmap of resources for minorities affected by autism. He also spent a summer teaching a career workshop for LDS Employment Resource Services in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
A native of Sidney, Montana, Eric received a bachelor of science degree in sociology from BYU. Along with his wife, Karen, Eric returns to Utah with Charlotte, their first daughter, a new addition to the family.
