Biography - Gift Accounting

Kathy Johnson first started working within the Utah Valley University Development & Alumni Relations Division in 2001 and was initially hired as a part-time receptionist and office specialist. In 2003, she started full-time as the gift accounting technician. She is responsible for donation deposits, donor records, assisting the Foundation accountant, preparing reports, and other general office duties.

She grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah, graduating from Pleasant Grove High School with high honors. She went on to Ricks College in Idaho, then transferred to Brigham Young University, where she earned a degree in general education with an emphasis in family studies.

Kathy and her husband, Jeff, have five children (two of whom have graduated from Utah Valley University) and 11 grandchildren. They have lived in 11 different homes since their marriage, but finally settled down in Orem. Kathy's hobbies include puzzles, reading, old movies, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
