Biography - Coordinator of Development Communications

Kate Lloyd, a highly professional marketing and communications specialist with an interest in cross-cultural branding, visual media, and web development, has created training materials and directed marketing campaigns at both Deseret Book and the Public Affairs Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Kate recently began as the coordinator of development communications at Utah Valley University. She graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho in communication and international studies. She worked in education while earning her undergraduate degree at BYU and is excited to once again return to higher education.

A native of Menan, Idaho, Kate loves to travel and has lived in or visited 35 states and 10 countries in North America, South America, Asia, South Pacific, and the Caribbean, and hopes to visit Europe and Africa soon. She loves color and design, both on computer screens and in homes. She enjoys biking, hiking, blogging, American history, Washington, D.C., and delicious and interesting food.
