Biography - Director of Gift Planning

Cristina Pianezzola is an alumnus of Utah Valley University where she was a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship and served as the international vice president of Phi Theta Kappa. She went on to receive her bachelor’s in philosophy from Texas Tech University, attending on a Presidential Leadership Scholarship. Being a recipient of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship, she used the funds to attend Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark School of Law, where she obtained her juris doctorate degree.

After practicing law for several years with Utah Legal Services, she joined the development team at UVU in 2000 as the attorney for the Planned Giving Office. In 2002 she was asked to start the annual giving program at UVU and became its first director. In March of 2011, Cristina was selected to be the new director of gift planning. She is currently revitalizing and restructuring the program after it had been closed for over two years.
