Jan Bentley is an Associate Professor of Digital Media in the College of Technology & Computing. She earned a B.S. in Marketing and Distributive Education from Brigham Young University and an M.S. in Business Information Systems and Education from Utah State University. She is also licensed as a professional educator in the state of Utah with endorsements in multimedia and business. Her research interests include computer-based learning environments, learner performance feedback, and curriculum management.
Some of Jan’s most recent projects have focused on engaged learning for senior students in Digital Media and in Engineering Graphics and Design Technology. Last year, Jan accompanied a group of students to Mali, West Africa where the students produced a documentary for the Mali Rising Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to building hundreds of schools for African children. She also participated in a student-oriented trip to Israel to document the surveying and excavation of the Beit Lehi archaeological site. This archaeological site was designed to advance the understanding and awareness of the general public of ancient religious history through scientific research and education. She most recently served as Project Lead for a group of students who completed a project in Leymebamba, Peru.
Jan has absolutely loved her 14 years at UVU. She currently resides in a beautiful country setting in Bluffdale, Utah with her family.
