Mike Wisland graduated from the Missouri Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a masters in Digital Signal Processing, and immediately went to work on fullsize military flight simulator domes (really big video games) at McDonnell Douglas Corp. Mike moved to Utah in '91 to work with a government contractor as a Digital Image and mapping scientist. In 1997, he helped co-found another government contracting company working in Infrared imaging and advanced Thin Films where he currently contracts . Mike built one of the first all-digital recording studios in the state, and formed Wiz Productions in 1992, and has recorded local bands, radio commercials and video projects ever since. He also co-hosts a local radio show, "The Vintage Vinyl Radio Show", and is a DJ on Park City's KPCW radio station on Friday nights. He is an avid collector of all things audio, from Edison cylinders to Blu-ray Audio disks. Don't get him started... Mike taught first in the Music Dept, for 2 years, and came to the Digital Media Dept in 2003, designing most of the audio courses. He recently built a new BBR (Bed-Breakfast-Record) studio in PG to service even more clients in-state and out-of-state.
