Dr. Thor Anderson earned his Masters and Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from Utah State University. He then moved to Silicon Valley to do instructional design and development work for Apple, Netscape, and Oracle.
Thor became involved in the early stages of eLearning standards development and worked on a variety of specifications for the IMS Global Learning Consortium. This type of online learning work led to the formation of a company named "Learning Components, Inc." where Thor and his brother design and build instructional software tools.
Thor is currently serving as Department Chair and Associate Professor in the Digital Media department at UVU. He loves to work on Rich Internet Application projects with Digital Media students who have developed mad Internet coding skills.
